o. First off, we are comparing apples and oranges when comparing custom/to the trade items to those available through retail/online vendors. Let’s just say that there is a difference in quality and choices. Many times I can find products that are of better quality and be able to customize with fabrics and design details that are in similar price points as big box retailers. That said, I am always respectful of my client’s investment, and many times you are paying less through me.
I carefully research all of our vendors for quality, customer service, and design aesthetic. I have access to a broad selection of materials and vendors that I have curated to that meet the needs of my varied clients

My goal is to always have deliriously happy clients. There are always opportunities for revision and re-selection. Ultimately, it is your home and your decision. But I do ask that when the design presentation occurs, that you are open-minded and experience the presentation in its totality and take some time to sit with it. Hopefully, I will be delighting you and maybe even challenge you to see something you hadn’t thought of before, after all that’s why you are hiring me.

First and foremost we want you to be happy with the design. Some things are easy to change and others are not because they will dilute the overall design of the space. We know where we might be able to tweak or change or if it’s a budget issue, to value engineer.
While we need a budget to design to, sometimes we come across something that would be amazing but is over budget. We will present it with a budget-friendly option so that you have a choice.

Installation days can be crazy with a lot of moving parts, pieces, and people. So, we require clients not to be present during this process. Believe me, as excited as you may be, nobody likes seeing the sausage being made! It’s much more pleasant to step into the “After” and it makes the reveal so much sweeter!
We cover all of these questions and more in our proposal for services.

First, we have a free Design Discovery Call to determine if I can help you with your design needs.
If so, the next is booking a Design Blueprint session.
The purpose of this pre-design step is multi-fold:
1. to establish the goals of your project
2. to determine your functional needs
3. to determine your design style
4. To evaluate and become familiar with your existing home of home plans for new construction.
5. To experience what working together is like and if we are a fit before committing to the bigger part of the project.
There is no pressure and the information that we develop will be useful regardless of how you proceed.

I charge a fixed fee for both consultations and design. I find that nobody enjoys endless bills for hourly services—including me!
Now that being said, there is a very specific scope of services and a number of revisions and re-selections after which you, will be billed additionally. You can check my services page for details.
Design fees are paid prior to the commencement of the project. If DPG is procuring furniture for you, payment is due in full prior to the placement of the order. Any remaining charges such as receiving, delivery or storage fees must be paid prior to the installation day.
-
Absolutely not. If you purchase the Design Masterplan, you do your own purchasing. I do provide an option to purchase custom and “to the trade” items through me with a purchasing minimum. However, you must decide which purchasing option you will go with prior to the commencement of the design.
The Design Deluxe service is only available with a minimum spend option. Since the product will need to be purchased for the project anyway, we ask that you make those purchases through us so that we can ensure project coordination and follow up with the ordering, freight, receiving, and delivery process. We also need to be sure that we allocate resources to make ensure a successful outcome.
This is the only way that we can deliver fully on client satisfaction on this level of service as well as taking the hassle and headache from our clients.

We do not. However, we offer all of our professional services remotely.
E-Design has come to conjure up images of hobbyists, creating “mood boards and playing designer for cheap.
We offer the same professional services remotely. It is not a watered down, diluted service.
We simply use technology to run projects more efficiently. We use Zoom for meetings—which many times is more efficient as there isn’t time wasted on traveling and can be done anywhere.
Many of my services are so easy to deliver in this manner—even pre-Covid! Most of the time it is much more efficient for everybody to work in this manner.
Even presenting plans and 3d renderings are very easy via Zoom. However, any finishes and fabrics will be sent out to you prior to a presentation so that you can see and feel the actual materials.
With the platform that I work on you will be able to check on your project, send messages, approve products, etc..from the comfort of your own home or wherever you are in the world.
If you are purchasing a project that includes installation and project oversight, obviously, I would be on-site for that.
-
I work through an all-inclusive platform. Rather than losing emails and communication in my inbox, all of our communication will be housed there. You will be able to see drawings, finish boards, give approvals, make payments, etc.. all through your own personal portal.
As part of our client onboarding, you will receive instructions and a video explaining how to use the portal..It’s very easy!

o. I am not a licensed general contractor. Therefore, the contract for construction will be between you and your GC.
We are happy to involved in the general contractor selection process as part of our full service luxe interior design.
Depending on which service you have purchased, I will provide design drawings, specifications, and renderings that you can present to your GC.
With some services, project coordination is included which involves weekly meetings/site visits with your GC to make sure that the design intent is carried out and to troubleshoot any issues that may arise in the field.
