THE PROCESS

The Discovery Call
Complimentary, and brief by design. We discuss your project at a high level — scope, location, timing, investment — and determine whether Tutto is the right fit. If it isn't, I'll point you toward what is.

The Design Consultation
This is where the work begins, and it's a paid working session — typically 90 minutes to two hours, in your home or on your plans. We walk the space, dig into how you live, what's failed before, and what this home needs to become.
You'll hear my honest read on your project the same day: what I see, what concerns me, where the opportunities are. You leave with professional insight you keep, whatever you decide next. $500.

Proposal and Design Development
From the consultation, I develop a proposal built on your actual scope — not a generic estimate. Once we begin: concept, space planning, drawings, selections, and a design presented with the reasoning behind every decision.

Procurement, Construction, and Installation
Ordering, tracking, vendor management, contractor coordination, site visits — the long middle of a project, where most engagements fray and this one doesn't. It ends with installation and reveal: you walk in once, and it's finished.

Full-service projects begin at a three-room minimum, with design fees starting at $25,000. Furnishing budgets typically run from $35,000 per room, and construction budgets from $100,000 — though which three rooms matters as much as how many. A kitchen, a primary bath, and a family room carry different design work, construction scope, and furnishing investment than three bedrooms. That's why every proposal is built on your actual rooms and your actual scope after the design consultation, not pulled from a rate card. If these numbers are aligned with your project, the process will make sense of every dollar. If they're not, one of my other services may fit better, and I'll tell you so on the discovery call.

No. I accept a limited number of full-service clients each year — deliberately. Tutto is principal-led from first sketch to final reveal, which means I'm personally in your drawings, on your job site, and answering your contractor's questions. That doesn't scale, and I've chosen not to pretend it does. It's also why I offer other ways to work with me: Essenza consultations and Mezza design plans exist so that the right level of my thinking is available even when a full-service slot isn't.

Yes — it's the ideal engagement for both. Renovations and new builds are where the most expensive decisions live: layout, cabinetry, millwork, materials, lighting placement. Full service means those decisions are made with trained guidance, documented properly, and executed accurately — with someone checking the built result against the drawings, not discovering the miss after the drywall closes.

Yes, and the collaboration is essential. I coordinate directly with your contractor, architect, or cabinetmaker so design details are communicated clearly and installed properly. I came up in commercial architecture firms — construction documents, job sites — so these are conversations between professionals who speak the same language. The earlier I'm brought in, the more the collaboration can accomplish.

You'll be present for the decisions that matter — the design direction, the key selections, the moments where your life informs the choice. The day-to-day details, procurement, tracking, and coordination are handled for you. Involvement should feel like being consulted, not being needed. If you've ever ended up project-managing your own designer, that's the difference you're paying for.

Yes — for full-service projects, all furnishings, lighting, and materials are purchased through my studio using trade sources, and I manage the entire procurement process: ordering, shipping, receiving, inspection, and installation. I insist on this, and here's why: it gives me control over quality and schedule, and it gives you one accountable party when something arrives damaged or delayed. Something always does. I've chosen the opposite model: fewer projects, no handoffs, no diluted vision. The limit isn't a marketing device. It's the only honest way to deliver what this page promises.
